Systems and Technology from Aerocom Ireland

From a basic system to a highly sophisticated microprocessor-controlled state-of-the-art system and everything in between, Aerocom has the technology. Carriers negotiate their way through the network at approximately 5-8 meters per second, transporting their contents safely to the destination. Aerocom product lines include the following:

  • AC2U - This system is the basic design for connecting two points. Whether upstairs to downstairs connection, one way or two way, of connecting opposite ends of a large warehouse. This is the perfect solution for a point to point Air Tube System. The system can have additional station fitted with the inclusion of a diverter in the design, without upgrading the software controls.
  • AC50 - Designed to connect up to ten stations. This is a reliable and economical choice for interconnectivity of up to a maximum of ten stations. Each station can communicate to any station in this system.
  • AC24M - Specifically designed for absolute control over the system. It connects a primary station with up to sixty-one secondary stations. The Primary station can send to each of the sub-stations and they can return to the primary. However Secondary stations cannot send to each other. This system is perfectly suited for cash security applications or from multiple departments to a central location.
  • AC3000 - The most advanced multi-station application! The AC3000 is a fully automatic, computer controlled system connecting an unlimited number of stations on multiple zones. This system has many advanced features for tracking and verification, control and flexibility and is ideal for fast paced environments such as Hospitals, Government Buildings and Manufacturing facilities.
  • AC660 - This system is ideal for high volume retail cash transport from multiple till locations to a central cash office. The system provides an invaluable range of audit, tracking, send restrictions and controls.
  • Through expertise and experience, Aerocom can design, manufacture, deliver and install a bespoke system tailored to the customer’s specific needs. If it can be done, Aerocom can do it!

There is a vast choice in system sizes and designs, to carry just about anything that will fit. From the most fragile medical device to reams of paper work, Aerocom has the system design to meet your needs. We offer all of the components necessary for a complete system, including a full series of stations, carriers, diverters, blowers, tubing material and other accessories.

  • Programming mode. A service technician programs the system data (topography) by means of the keyboard in the front panel of the central controls.
  • Electronic overlap safeguard recognises a situation where two or more carriers are transported at the same time (for example in case of open stations), recognises the error and automatically returns the carriers to their point of origin.
  • A transmission controller will automatically return the system to a state of readiness if a transmission is begun without a carrier being introduced into the system.
  • Auto start automatically continues each sending process after power recovery, by sending the carrier to the correct destination.
  • With the addition of a compatible printer the CCU will print out a log of all transmissions. Information includes, date, time, sending and receiving stations and the continuous sending number. Backdated the last 120 sending processes are recallable.
  • In a service mode, all system devices can be exercised and analysed from the CCU. Fault indications will be displayed.
  • Automatically or manual clearing.
  • Halt-mode. The system can be blocked for further transmissions.

AC3000 Pneumatic Air Tube System

The AC3000's sending and receiving stations are the perfect solution for today's busy hospital environment. Their thru-station design allows Aerocom engineers to design a system using a minimum amount of tubing. Not only does this reduce system cost, but it also simplifies installation.

Maximum number of zones: 32
Arrival signals per station: 16
Diverter: 2-way / 3-way / 4-way (for OD 110)
Operation mode: Fully automatic multi-zone-system -- reversing operation.

Single-zone Configuration

In this system, independent of the stage of operation, at any station a carrier can be stored. Once inserted into the station, a carrier will always be transported by the most direct route to its destination. After one sending process has been completed, the next carrier will start. All stations and diverter types can be used in one zone.

Single zone configuration

Multi-zone Configuration

In contrast to the single zone system, the multi-zone system can be divided into various independent working zones. The AC3000 allows up to 64 zones. These zones are inter-connected by a transfer zone. Inside this transfer, the carriers are stored in waiting lines. They continue on their route, when the receiving zone is free. Because each zone has an independent air supply, multiple carriers can be in transit simultaneously. This will increase the performance of the system tremendously. In the configuration example below, up to 10 carriers can be travelling simultaneously.
